The Pro Plus Pod, Peppercorn Pod & Max Pod are fully adjustable from a coarse grind down to a delicate textured grind. The desired grind size is your choice.
The pods can grind down to a delicate texture but not powdered like typical pre-ground spices.
The FinaPods are only meant for dried herbs and spices. Do not use fresh herbs in the pods.
The current version of the FinaMill does have a strong enough motor to use the Grater Pod for grating whole nutmeg, cardamom pods, cloves, star anise or cinnamon quills. Break the cinnamon quills to fit before grating.
Yes, our Max Pod is designed to fit large spices and coffee beans. Grinding coffee beans is slower than a typical coffee grinder and not intended for use with brewing coffee.
The Peppercorn Pod has been specially designed to grind peppercorns down to a finer and more even grind for a premium peppercorn grind texture. You can also grind peppercorns in the Pro Plus Pod, but the grind size will not be as fine.
